TREP database

One of our main interests is in transposable elements (TEs) and the roles they play in genome shaping and evolution. The TREP database was initiated in 2001 as a database of Triticeae (wheat, barley and close relatives) genomic repeat sequences. Meanwhile the scope has been expanded to include TEs from all species.

The TRansposable Elements Platform (TREP) provides access to curated TE sequences which can be searched by BLAST, by classification, by species, and by keywords. Search results can be downloaded in FASTA format for local use (see TREP website).
