General Information

Travel details
Our journey will begin by bus, departing from the Zürich Car Park at Sihlquai (Google maps) at approximately 08:30. We kindly ask all participants to arrive no later than 08:15 on September 11 to ensure a timely departure.
The bus ride to Weggis Talstation will take one hour. Upon arrival, we will transfer to the cable car, which will transport us to Rigi Kaltbad (Google maps) home to Hotel Rigi Kaltbad.
Once at the hotel, you will have the opportunity to store your luggage in a designated room near the reception for your convenience.

Accommodation
The conference will be held at Hotel Rigi Kaltbad, located in the car-free mountain village of Rigi Kaltbad. Further details about the venue can be found at: https://hotelrigikaltbad.ch.
Please sign up for a room on the accommodation lists available in P0 between July 30 and August 15. Participants who do not register by this deadline will be assigned a room.
Check-in is available at the hotel front desk from 15:00 onward on the day of arrival. You will receive your personal key card based on your entry on the room list.
Check-out takes place in the morning before the workshops begin. As we will be leaving several hours after check-out, please inquire at the front desk about the designated luggage storage area.
In addition the hotel offers complimentary access to the Mineralbad & Spa, designed by Mario Botta. Facilities include indoor and outdoor pools filled with mineral-rich water from the “Three Sisters” spring, as well as a wellness area featuring a sauna, crystal bath, herbal steam room, and various relaxation zones.
Other amenities include a bar with billiards, a playroom, a small fitness area, and a village shop.

What to bring
To ensure you have a comfortable and enjoyable stay at the hotel, please come well-prepared. On the first day, you will have some free time for leisure activities, including hiking, swimming, or simply relaxing. For more details, please refer to the Leisure Program.

Given the variety of possible activities and the potential for changing weather conditions, we recommend packing the following items as appropriate:
- A small daypack
- A rain jacket
- A compact umbrella (if rain is forecasted)
- Sunglasses, a hat, and sunscream
- A swimsuit
Please also remember to bring your train pass, as it is essential for transportation.

Costs
The meeting is free of charge. This includes accommodation, meals and beverages provided by the hotel staff during dinner or the coffee breaks. Whatever you order yourself (e.g. beverages or snacks) you will have to pay yourself on the spot. The hotel staff is advised to cash orders immediately.

Meals and dinner seating
All dietary preferences and food intolerances will be taken into consideration.
The retreat offers a great opportunity to connect with colleagues from IPMB whom you may not yet know. To encourage interaction and networking during dinner, you will be asked to draw a number upon entering the dining room, which will indicate your assigned seat.

Information for speakers
Thank you for giving a talk! Please stick to the scheduled time and leave 2–3 minutes for questions. As you're speaking to a multi-disciplinary audience, start with a clear, accessible introduction. Only PowerPoint presentations can be used, so make sure your file runs in PowerPoint. Bring it on a USB stick and upload it to the session laptop at least 10 minutes before your session. If you have technical issues, contact the technical director, Stefan Roffler.
